Daniel and his quilt from Nona!

Image
While back in Indiana Daniel was given this quilt. His first response to all of the animals on it was to growl. Now he loves looking at the animals and holding his quilt. He does still growl at it from time to time. Thank you Nona for the quilt is is beautiful!

Our Trip back to Indiana

Image
Friday morning we received a phone call that my grandfather in IN. was not doing well. They were calling the family in. Daniel and I were scheduled to fly out on Sunday to see him, but they felt this  would not be soon enough. So on Friday morning we booked tickets for the whole family to fly to IN to see my Grandpa one more time. As soon as the kids arrived home from school we left MA for the CT airport. We were the family that no one wants to be with on our first flight. Daniel screamed most of the way and Benjamin was vomiting. Tom and Benjamin were covered in vomit. The flight attendants were not very friendly to our family. We flew to Georgia. The second flight was much better. We flew in to IN. We were able to spend the weekend with family and visit all 3 of my grandparents. Daniel met his Great Grandparent for the first time. Flying home was much better also. We flew through MI, which made much shorter flights. So we were in 5 states this weekend. My Grandpa is still hanging in ...

We hung out at the airport to talk and play on the playground for a while. We then made the two hour drive home. Daniel's first car seat ride went well, he slept the whole way home. We arrived home a little after 6:00 and Lori and Daniel were in bed by a little after 7:00. We had been traveling for 30 hours. Sunday we just took our time getting around and just hung out. The first couple of days Daniel was terrified of the dog and wanted to be right with us. His sleeping habits were rough. He was not used to the eight hour time difference or the new schedules. He was used to getting bottles every two hours and woke up in the night for bottles. He was using his bottle for a pacifier. We went to the doctor on Monday morning, he weighed 21.7 pounds and was 30 1/2 inches. He got a clean bill o...

Well we have been home for almost 2 weeks. Daniel is doing great. He is so adjusted and attached. We just need to get more sleep at night. It just seems that he has always been a part of our family. He is so happy and full of life. I can't wait for all of you to meet him in person. Here are some new pictures that I wanted to share.
