Daniel at 23 months old!

Image
Today Daniel is 23 months old. In some ways he is definitely showing signs of being 2 already. This weekend was filled with beautiful sunshine and hot temps. We had 3 soccer games. Daniel wore his first swim suit and played in the sprinkler for the first time. Today we went to story time and sent the kids back to school. We had a great spring break last week.

Easter Morning

We had a great Easter. We started out with the kids waking up to string all over the house. The Easter Bunny tied a different color of string each Easter basket. The string went from the basket wound all over the house to a tag taped to the banister. The kids found their name tags, followed their strings around to where the basket was hidden. Daniel found his in the play pen, Benjamin found his in the dryer, Michael in the computer desk cabinet, and Allison had her hidden in the garage refrigerator. We then had breakfast and headed off to church. The music was beautiful and the sermon was very touching. We then came home and hosted another family from church for Easter Lunch. The kids then had an Easter Egg Hunt. It was nice and cold out for the egg hunt. Happy Easter everyone.

Daniel' s trip to the photographer

I took Daniel in for pictures a couple of weeks ago... they tried to get him to do their thing, he decided to do his own. We did get some good pictures! I can't believe how fast he is growing before our eyes. Tomorrow we will enjoy our first Easter with him. Happy Easter everyone.

One busy Sunday!

On Sunday, we started out with church, a quick lunch, an ice skating birthday party for the whole family, shopping, out to dinner, and coloring Easter Eggs. Daniel had his first experience of ice skating, he made it around the rink once on his feet holding on to my hands. The rest of the time he sat on a 5 gallon bucket and let Allison push him around on it. He was really mad when we took his skates off of him. Daniel also colored his first Easter eggs. He saw no reason to be careful dipping the eggs, or with the eggs. He would bang them on the table, drop them, etc. He was the first one to eat an egg, and he ate the whole thing. We had a great day. Today marks 5 months of Daniel being home. He has come so far. He loves our dog. He is still timid around other animals though. He is also terrified of the Easter bunny at the mall. He has grown 3 inches and gained 3 pounds. He is a sponge and is speaking more every day. We still have some sleep issues. It seems so random, some nights he sl
