Update!

Today we received an update about our son. Rachel from the transition house sent us a sweet update telling us more about Daniel and what he is doing. We also got two new adorable photos of him.

He was described as so adorable, light skin, big eyes and a great smile.

He is crawling all over and pulls himself up to a standing position using furniture. He has a big personality, is lots of fun, and loves to laugh and smile.

Daniel is a good sleeper. He wakes once a night for a bottle and takes two naps a day.
He is a good eater and very healthy. He weighs twenty pounds.

We love the updates and the new pictures, but it makes us want to jump on the next plane and bring him home.

There are four families leaving this weekend to pick up their little ones. One of the families are taking a care package to Daniel from us. They are also going to take pictures and video of Daniel for us. We are so blessed to have this opportunity.

The Ethiopian courts start there closure for the rainy season this Thursday. They will reopen in October. Please pray for all the children there during this time.

He sounds like such a sweetheart. It was super hard to wait after we got their pictures. What did you send him in your care package?

Today at 4:25 the call came.... It is 4:25 I was sitting out by the pool just getting ready to get in. The neighbor had just left and my kids were swimming. I sit on the edge to slide in and just then the phone rings. I think I will see who it is, but I am not going to answer it. It says 703.... oh my I think that is America World, I start crying. Day Four (tomorrow we go home)

Hello again. It is Thursday night! We went to Kids Care Orphanage today. That is where Daniel lived from March 31st until June 10th. It was really sad to see all the kids there that do not have families waiting to pick them up. We got some great videos of the older kids in their school singing the ABC's and singing in Amharic. We passed out granola bars and dum dums. We also took some playground balls. When we took Daniel into the home and told the nannies, that we had Fitsum, they just went crazy. They were so excited to see him. They held him and kissed him, and spent time talking to him. One of them talked to him in Amharic and Robel our guide translated it for us on video. There were rooms of healthy children, rooms of sick kids, rooms of toddlers, and the school house of about 30 kids. The kids just couldn't get enough attention from us.
