America World Family Updates

Welcome home to the Steiger Family. They made it it back from Ethiopia yesterday. There are are court dates scheduled for April 11th for some other families with referrals. Let's keep them in our prayers. Once they have a successful court date, they can schedule their trip to Ethiopia to pick up their little ones. We pray for lots of referrals this week. We pray for all of the people who are working so hard for our adoptions.

Today at 4:25 the call came.... It is 4:25 I was sitting out by the pool just getting ready to get in. The neighbor had just left and my kids were swimming. I sit on the edge to slide in and just then the phone rings. I think I will see who it is, but I am not going to answer it. It says 703.... oh my I think that is America World, I start crying. I answer the phone and it is Terra she asked me how I was, I ask is this "the call" she says yes... I am yelling at the kids get out of the pool, on the deck, no off the deck, close up the pool, it's "the call" I am just crying and going crazy! The neighbor hears me and thinks that someone got hurt in the pool, she comes running. The kids are yelling it's our referral. Day Four (tomorrow we go home)

Hello again. It is Thursday night! We went to Kids Care Orphanage today. That is where Daniel lived from March 31st until June 10th. It was really sad to see all the kids there that do not have families waiting to pick them up. We got some great videos of the older kids in their school singing the ABC's and singing in Amharic. We passed out granola bars and dum dums. We also took some playground balls. When we took Daniel into the home and told the nannies, that we had Fitsum, they just went crazy. They were so excited to see him. They held him and kissed him, and spent time talking to him. One of them talked to him in Amharic and Robel our guide translated it for us on video. There were rooms of healthy children, rooms of sick kids, rooms of toddlers, and the school house of about 30 kids. The kids just couldn't get enough attention from us.
