Travel?

On Friday we received our new travel packet! The first group of travelers received tentative travel dates of October 25th. I guess this means that we will have to wait until November to travel.We should be in the second group to travel after the courts re-open. We have started packing up stuff for Daniel and our donations. We have also started to put together all of the paperwork that we will need to take with us. The courts re-open on October the 8th, that is 15 more days! We are praying that things will go smoothly and we will see lots of progress. There are a lot of families that have been affected by the court closure. We can't wait to see the courts passing cases and adoptions being approved. We will update with tentative dates when we receive them. Congratulations to the families that received their tentative travel dates. We are praying for all of you!

I am so hoping to be traveling in November as well!! There should be 2 groups (praying) and so we should make it! Maybe December but I am so ready to go now, I am TRYING to guard my heart but ...

Today at 4:25 the call came.... It is 4:25 I was sitting out by the pool just getting ready to get in. The neighbor had just left and my kids were swimming. I sit on the edge to slide in and just then the phone rings. I think I will see who it is, but I am not going to answer it. It says 703.... oh my I think that is America World, I start crying. Day Four (tomorrow we go home)

Hello again. It is Thursday night! We went to Kids Care Orphanage today. That is where Daniel lived from March 31st until June 10th. It was really sad to see all the kids there that do not have families waiting to pick them up. We got some great videos of the older kids in their school singing the ABC's and singing in Amharic. We passed out granola bars and dum dums. We also took some playground balls. When we took Daniel into the home and told the nannies, that we had Fitsum, they just went crazy. They were so excited to see him. They held him and kissed him, and spent time talking to him. One of them talked to him in Amharic and Robel our guide translated it for us on video. There were rooms of healthy children, rooms of sick kids, rooms of toddlers, and the school house of about 30 kids. The kids just couldn't get enough attention from us.
