Day 10 in Ethiopia (Lori)

Addis Ababa
Day 10

Today we started packing all our stuff. We had our last breakfast at Elmos Hotel. I think the others are enjoying starting their days with tea or coffee. As much as they are enjoying it, I think they are ready to be back home to their own beds, home cooked meals, to love on Mia, see their friends and family. We have always sent laundry down to be washed, and it had never cost much. I guess we should have asked before we turned in s large bag of clothes. When Tom went to pay our bill, there was sticker shock. We won't making that mistake again. I guess we are living and learning. We have all really enjoyed this trip.
After breakfast, we head to the coffee shop. We had requests for 20 bags. We bought some as coffee beans and some ground coffee. Tamenech and Yonas and our driver enjoyed drinks before we headed out. While in the coffee house, the cashier asked Yonas if Daniel was from Ethiopia. Yonas, said yes. She kept telling Yonas, how handsome Daniel is.

Yonas took us to the National Museum Of Ethiopia. We really enjoyed our time there. I am including many photos of our time at the museum. There was a really nice gift shop there. We already bought a lot, so I didn't get anything there. There was a really cool Ethiopian chess board. I didn't even ask how much it cost, but it was real nice.

Yonas's wife just opened up a nail and make-up shop. Tamenech got some fancy nails done and I got mine painted. She has wonderful nail salon in a mall. She is really trying hard to build up her clientele. We brought some nail polish from the US for her.

Next we went to lunch at a restaurant called Five Loaves. We had a nice lunch. Pictures of our food to follow. We are now back in our hotel, with a late check out. We are gathering up all of our stuff and meeting in the lobby at 7. We will have our last Ethiopian Meal and Entertainment. At 10 we will head to the airport and start our journey home.

I believe this trip has surpassed all of our expectations.

I really hope that someday we can come back to Ethiopia. I really wish our other kids, could have come with us.

Thank you for all the prayers.
